Academic Year 2017-18

Summer Internship     

The department of Electronics sent seven students B. Samatha, G.Pooja, K.Pooja, R.Raga Chandrika, K.Venkata Anusha, K.Suhitha and D.Rajeshwari from I B.Sc. (MECs) for an internship programme of six weeks duration from April 17^th, 2017 to May 31^st, 2017 at Efftronics Systems Pvt.Ltd, Vijayawada.

Workshop on Ham Radio

Organized a guest lecture cum workshop on the usefulness of Ham radio during natural calamities by Mr.Ramesh on 19^th June, 2017 for the final year Electronics students.

Guest lecture on Internet of Things (IOT) 
The departments of Physics and Electronics organized a guest lecture on “Internet of Things and future career possibilities” as an activity of ‘Inspire Club’ on 04.07.2017 for the I,II and III B.Sc Physics and Electronics students. Mr.S Bhavani Shankar, Executive Manager, R&D department of the Efftronics Systems Pvt., Ltd.,addressed the students.He explained about the latest technology “Internet of Things" (IOT) which  connects various things using internet and sensors. He suggested that the teaching and training methods need to get updated to suit the skills in demand.

Field Trips:                                                                                                                                               

1. Organized one-day field trip to Sriharikota SHAR-ISRO on 17th August, 2017 for the II & III                MECs students.  

2. Organized a field trip to Dr. Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station, Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada on       14^th November, 2017 for the II & III year Electronics students.

Students Training Programmes:

• 25 students from III & II B.Sc Electronics were trained in a skill-oriented course “Office Automation” at Andhra Loyola Engineering College, Vijayawada in collaboration with APSSDC and Siemens from 31^st October to 4^th November, 2018.
• 20 students from III & II B.Sc Electronics were trained in “MATLAB & Applications” at Andhra Loyola Engineering College, Vijayawada organised by Department of ECE in association with Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Research Forum. 

Two day National Seminar cum Hands on Training:

Organized UGC Grant supported Two day National Seminar cum Hands on Training on “Internet of Things (IoT) – Market Forcast and Opportunities” in collaboration with Efftronics Systems Pvt.Ltd, Vijayawada and Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai on 7^th and 8^th February, 2018.
