Summer-Internship
Seven students B. Samatha, G.Pooja, K.Pooja,
R.Raga Chandrika, K.Venkata Anusha, K.Suhitha and D.Rajeshwari from I B.Sc.
(MECs) completed an internship programme of six weeks duration from April 17th
to May 31st, 2017 at Efftronics Systems Pvt.Ltd, Vijayawada.
Workshop on Role of HAM Radio in Calamities
In
collaboration with the department of Journalism, a workshop was organised on
the role of HAM Radio in calamities by Mr.B.Ramesh Babu, Coordinator, HAM radio
training centre, Vijayawada on 19th June, 2017 for the final year
Electronics students. He briefed about the importance of communication during
calamities and the role HAM radio plays during calamities and encouraged
students to be a licensed HAM radio user.
Guest lecture on Internet of Things (IoT)
Organized a guest lecture on “Internet of Things and future career
possibilities” as an activity of Inspire Club on 4th July, 2017 for
the I, II and III B.Sc Electronics and Physics students. Mr.S.Bhavani Shankar,
Executive Manager, R&D, Efftronics Systems Pvt. Ltd. explained about the
latest technology “Internet of Things” which connects various things using
internet and sensors. He suggested that teaching and training methods need to
get updated to suit the skills in demand.
Field Trips:
· The departments
of Physics and Electronics organized a field trip to Sriharikota – SHAR on 17th
August, 2017 for the II & III year Electronics students.
National Seminar cum Hands-on- Training:
· Organized two day UGC Autonomous Grant
Supported National Seminar cum Hands-on- Training on “Internet of Things-Market
Forcast and Opportunities” in collaboration with Efftronics Systems Pvt.Ltd.,
Vijayawada and Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai on 7th
and 8th February, 2018.
